I am Rene L Clark Institutional Safety Specialist, I have worked for the department of corrections since 2012, I started as a security officer at Haynesville correctional Center. In 2017 I transferred to Caroline Correctional Unit 2 and was promoted to sergeant. I worked as the unit safety coordinator until August 2020 when I was promoted to Safety Specialist here at Central Virginia Correctional Unit 13. Prior to that I worked 14 years with the Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration.
